Terms of Service

Welcome to BeautyRents.com. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our platform, including our website, applications, and services (collectively, the “Platform”). By accessing or using BeautyRents.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. About BeautyRents.com BeautyRents.com is an online marketplace that connects salon owners (“Hosts”) who have available beauty workspace (e.g. chairs, rooms, stations) with independent professionals (“Renters”) looking to rent space for hourly or daily use. BeautyRents.com does not own, operate, or manage any physical locations listed on the platform.

2. User Eligibility You may use BeautyRents.com only if you:

  • Are at least 18 years old
  • Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
  • Are properly licensed (where applicable) to provide services in your profession We reserve the right to verify your identity and credentials at any time.

3. Account Registration To access most features of the Platform, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your password and account
  • Notify us immediately of unauthorized use
  • Be responsible for all activity on your account We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for any reason, including suspected fraud or abuse.

4. Listings & Space Use Hosts must:

  • Accurately describe the space (including photos, price, availability, and rules)
  • Ensure the space is clean, safe, and complies with all applicable laws
  • Provide access and amenities as described in the listing Renters must:
  • Use the space only for permitted beauty services
  • Respect the rules and property of the Host
  • Leave the space clean and undamaged after use
  • Have the necessary licensing/insurance where required BeautyRents.com is not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, or availability of any listed space.

5. Payments & Fees BeautyRents uses a third-party payment processor (e.g., Stripe) to manage transactions.

  • Renters pay the rental fee at the time of booking
  • Hosts receive payment (minus a service fee) after the rental concludes
  • BeautyRents charges a service commission (e.g. 15%) on each completed booking All prices are listed in CAD unless otherwise stated. Additional processing fees or taxes may apply.

6. Cancellations & Refunds Cancellation policies are set by the Host at the time of listing (Flexible, Moderate, or Strict). Refunds are issued based on the selected policy. BeautyRents reserves the right to intervene in disputes but does not guarantee refunds beyond the stated policy.

7. Insurance & Liability

  • BeautyRents does not provide insurance for Renters or Hosts.
  • Hosts are encouraged to carry commercial property insurance.
  • Renters are encouraged to have general liability or professional insurance.
  • By using the platform, you acknowledge that you assume all risks associated with renting or hosting. BeautyRents is not liable for any injury, damage, theft, loss, or dispute arising out of use of the space.

8. Platform Rules You agree not to:

  • Violate any laws or third-party rights
  • Misrepresent yourself or your listings
  • Use bots, scrapers, or disrupt the site’s operations
  • Circumvent the platform (e.g., by completing off-platform transactions to avoid fees)

Violation may result in suspension or legal action.

9. Intellectual Property BeautyRents.com and all related content, design, logos, and functionality are the property of BeautyRents or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or use our materials without permission. You retain rights to content (photos, descriptions) you upload, but grant us a license to use it for marketing and platform purposes.

10. Dispute Resolution We encourage Renters and Hosts to resolve disputes directly. If unresolved, BeautyRents may provide mediation support but is not legally obligated to resolve conflicts.

Any legal disputes shall be governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, and handled in the courts of Edmonton, Alberta.

11. Termination We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms, fraud, or harmful behavior. You may also close your account at any time.

12. Modifications We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform constitutes your agreement to the updated Terms.
